Merlin Hotel
Located at one of the oldest streets of George Town, Lebuh Penang (Penang Street) is one of the best places to enjoy the feel of old Penang. The hotel is also located within the George Town Unesco World Heritage Site. One of the original grid laid out by Francis Light, the building surrounding the hotel is influence by the British colonisation. In 1789, George Town is officially drawn into the map being called China Street. By 1803, China Street is known as Lebuh Penang (Penang Street) in the map of George Town drawn under the administration of George Leith as Lieutenant Governor.
